Decolonizing Action Research through Two-Eyed Seeing: The Indigenous Quality Assurance Project

Action Research (AR) has been widely utilized in Indigenous contexts because of its emphasis on social transformation and synergies with research approaches. Yet, while AR is seen as an attractive option for working contexts, additional efforts are needed to ensure that adequately interrogates collaborations between Western knowledge systems. The application the principle two-eyed seeing (TES), which refers process from strengths ways knowing one eye using other see (Bartlett, Marshall, & 2012), can center decolonial goals, addressing shortcomings AR. This article describes operationalization TES through Quality Assurance Project, focusing four key essentials TES: co-learning, scrutinization, validation, gardening 2017).
